Winter Manager — Offshore Montauk

\n \nThe Role: Offshore Montauk is a 43-room luxury, boutique hotel and spa in Montauk that runs at full tilt in summer and quiets down considerably in the off-season. We're hiring a hands-on Winter Manager to be the single point of accountability for the property through the winter months.
\n \nThis is not a delegate-and-oversee job. With a lean off-season crew, you'll personally run the front desk and step in to coordinate housekeeping and maintenance. We want someone comfortable wearing several hats, working independently, and keeping a quiet property in excellent shape so it's ready when the season turns.

\n \nWhat you'll do
\nFront desk operations: Handle check-ins/check-outs, reservations, guest communications, phones and email, and day-to-day guest requests. Own the guest experience from arrival to departure. We have a 24/7 Guest Services center that will help handle a lot of the admin but this role will be the point person to manage the guest experience.
\nHousekeeping coordination: Schedule and direct off-season housekeeping, inspect rooms and common areas for quality, manage linen and supply par levels, and cover turnovers directly when staffing is thin.
\nMaintenance coordination: Log and triage maintenance issues, coordinate in-house staff and outside vendors/contractors, and keep the building — including vacant and winterized areas — monitored and protected through cold weather.
\nProperty oversight: Serve as the on-site presence and point of contact, conduct regular walkthroughs, monitor systems (heat, plumbing, life safety), and escalate anything material to ownership promptly.
\n \nWhat we're looking for
\nPrior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred, ideally with front-desk and some operational/supervisory exposure.
\nComfort operating a PMS and booking systems (we currently use CloudBeds)
\nA self-starter who can run a property solo, prioritize well, and make sound judgment calls without constant direction.
\nGenuinely hands-on — willing to strip room bedding for housekeeping in advance or meet a plumber at 8pm
\nStrong communication and guest-service instincts.
\nReliable, organized, and steady under the slower pace of an off-season resort town.
\n \nCompensation & perks
\nCompetitive seasonal salary ranging from $25-35 per hour with opportunity for bonuses, commensurate with experience.
